In Sunday's profound New Moon ceremony, Catherine Murupaenga-Ikenn (Ngāti Kurī, Te Rarawa Māori peoples) from Aotearoa shared a timeless teaching about appreciation and unity that perfectly captures why we gather:

In this luminous teaching, Catherine reveals how the Māori word "maioha" (appreciation) contains the wisdom of clarity (ma), the moon (marama), legacy (oha), and the breath (ha) that connects us all. Her message reminds us that even in challenging times, we can consciously choose to focus on appreciation and unity, lifting the consciousness of humanity with each gathering.
