Aloha ,

Join us this Thursday, December 21st, for a special synchronized Solstice Ceremony at 7:30 am Hawai'i time.

 Zoom details below.

We extend an invitation to join us in a global synchronized ceremony of unity and renewal. Let us come together to share songs, dances, chants, and other expressions of our diverse cultural heritages. This gathering is a continuation of the timeless traditions observed by cultures worldwide in honoring the Solstice.

Inspired by Pacha K'anchay, Mamo Lorenzo Izquierdo Arroyo, and Kumu Hula Puna Kalama Dawson, we gather in response to a global call to action from the Council of Indigenous Sages of Colombia. Their invitation aims to

synchronize indigenous ceremonies at sacred sites across the globe to raise the frequency on Earth and harmonize humanity's relationship with the natural world.

Your participation is integral to creating this coherent field.

We invite you to join us.

Message from Puna for Solstice

At the December New Moon Ceremony last week, Kumu Hula Puna Kalama Dawson shared guidance regarding this Thursday's Solstice Ceremony:

Mahalo Mamo and mahalo to you, Pacha. In anticipation of preparing everyone for the 21st, I'm wanting to just reconfirm so that people understand and know how the 21st - the celebration, the timing that we're using, and acknowledging your kūpuna, your elders, and the elders around the world. We're helping to follow your instruction. We're asking that all those that come during ceremony, that we're able to be able to see them as we see each other now. The celebration is still being held in Hawai'i time at 7:30 am according to you, Pacha, and you, Mamo Lorenzo. That is the time that works best for your elders. And so in saying to everyone, you know, we're going to be, here in Kaua'i, the orchestrators to make sure that the connections are are seen and experienced. And so the true expression - as Mamo and Pacha have said - is ceremony. So, the opportunity for us to do introductions will not happen that way. Pacha and Mamo Lorenzo will give a blessing. And then ceremony is going to be shared by each culture. And I'm gonna say the maestro in all of this is Greg Horn who has to address all of the different cultures as you do ceremony. This, I believe, is the instructions that have been given by the elders of Colombia - that we create sound, vibration, breath, music, chant, dance - all in the spirit of caring for our Mother Earth, but also caring for Mother Earth's people. So the opportunity that I believe everyone has, is to offer, through song, dance, chant, the spirit of their culture. And we will be witness to all of them...So we have a clear picture, everyone who is going to be part of that global expression - a pule, or global expression of chant, dance, and spirit from all the different cultures - can participate wholly, complete, as we have been requested and asked to be a part of in this celebration for the new year, the new beginning, but it doesn't end there. The relationship that we have created in all of the New Moons was not just exposure, but the opportunity for people to see and be a part of this global blanket of peace...So, for all those that are on the Zoom, that will be part of the Zoom, it is the intention that we highlight each group. And so, on each page that we see, we see a name that helps to identify you. So, the group intention is we are recording all of these things so that we're able to reach out to you and continue the conversation long after this New Year's celebration. So that there is this relationship that continues to be. In the ceremonies that we're sharing, I want to just highlight a point. If you notice, on the Zoom, Eliza is signing. There is quite a few of the community around the world that appreciate the conversation that they're able to witness. So I thank Eliza for helping us to reach people that otherwise would only be able to see things and try to understand. The other thing that I want to call attention to is the beauty of the vibration of the diversity of all the people that come and do their ceremony. It is that vibration that the elders of Colombia are acknowledging. So for all of us that may not understand the language, we definitely can experience the spirituality that comes through the sound and vibration that each culture has been gifted with. Especially in addressing the nature that we are blessed to live in. So, I so look forward - just like we are now in addressing the New Moon - being in spirit, being in gratitude, and being especially in grace with one another. The ability for us to be in this moment together globally is such an honor and a blessing. And for all of you that have come religiously over the year, here it is, an opportunity again, for us to be blessed and to be in celebration of life, the life that our world and our people are so in need of now, especially those with such great challenge. So, I thank you Mamo and Pacha for bringing us all together and giving us the opportunity to be in the spirit and the joy of one another. Mahalo.
