January New Moon Ceremony & Reflections from Solstice

Thursday January 11th at 07:30 Hawai'i Time - Zoom Link Inside

Pacha K’anchay - Solstice Ceremony, Colombia, December 2023

Aloha Kākou,

Happy New Year from all of us at Kaiāulu!

We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who joined us for the transformative Winter Solstice Synchronized Ceremony in December. It was a remarkable gathering, uniting diverse cultures and wisdom from around the globe. Together, we wove a vibrant tapestry of love and peace, creating ripples felt far and wide. The heartfelt messages and love letters we received from many of you have deeply moved us, and for this, we express our profound gratitude. Each of your unique contributions and participation are deeply cherished.

We are excited to invite you to our first New Moon Ceremony of 2024, taking place this Thursday, January 11th.

Inspired by Pacha K'anchay, Mamo Lorenzo Izquierdo Arroyo, and Kumu Hula Puna Kalama Dawson, we gather in response to a global call to action from the Council of Indigenous Sages of Colombia. Their invitation aims to synchronize indigenous ceremonies across the globe to raise the frequency on Earth and harmonize humanity's relationship with the natural world.

Your presence and participation are vital in creating this coherent field of energy. Together, we can contribute to a positive shift, fostering a deeper connection with ourselves, each other, and Earth.

Zoom details below.

We invite you to join us.

Mamo Lorenzo Izquierdo Arroyo - Solstice Ceremony, Colombia, December 2023

We are acknowledging all the hearts that are here today and all hearts that are in other places to celebrate this moment. We are all connected with them. There are many people - many groups - around the world who are celebrating at this time and we are linking up with them.

There are fires that have been set up in Chile, Mexico, Holland, Germany - doing this ceremony together.

So those of us on Zoom and those of us not on Zoom - connected.

And in all of the 70 pueblos of Colombia where people continue to live in the way of doing ceremony.

They are accompanying us via the fire - through the fire - from all of these places they are in.

What we are doing now is we are seeing each other, feeling each other - and accompanying this great prayer that is done every year at this time.

This is a time to say goodbye to the year and to have a moment of reflection about how we did during the year.

So, we ask ourselves - was I able to, or why was I unable to provide prayer, healing, purification for the trees, for the plants? Why was I not able to heal, to cleanse this particular spirit?

So that, in the New Year, we can achieve more.

If we didn’t do our prayer, our healing work 100%, we can acknowledge that, and we can find out why, and we can figure out how we can do 100% in this coming year.

To cleanse, to purify, to sweeten all of nature.

- Mamo Lorenzo Izquierdo Arroyo (translated by Olivia Frazao)
