"Even in Darkness, We are The Light" | A Sacred Teaching

Dr. Anita Sanchez's wisdom reminds us why this work must continue

Aloha Kākou,

As our global circle grows, we're honored to welcome many new members to our community. Today, we want to share a profound teaching from our February New Moon ceremony that beautifully illustrates why this work is so vital in these times.

Dr. Anita Sanchez, Nahua (Aztec & Toltec, Rocky Mountains of Colorado), shared a moving story about her grandmother's wisdom, teaching through the sunflowers - how they face the sun during the day and turn to each other at night. This simple yet profound teaching reminds us that even in our darkest moments, we can find light in each other.

I know with the suffering... we are to look to the sun, to the east, and know we're part of the light, and even in the darkest dark we are to look at each other because we are the light as well.

- Dr. Anita Sanchez, February New Moon Ceremony 2024

This wisdom reminds us why we gather - to protect sacred territories, preserve ancient wisdom, and weave connections across oceans and cultures. As we approach Sunday's New Moon ceremony and GivingTuesday, we're called to sustain these bridges between worlds.

We're excited to share that we've expanded our giving options to better serve our global community! You can now easily contribute using your preferred payment method through our secure donation platform - including international payment options.

Your support helps ensure these wisdom traditions continue to thrive for generations to come. Will you join us in weaving this global blanket of peace?

Remember to join us this Sunday, December 1st at 7:30 AM Hawai'i time for our December New Moon ceremony, where we'll continue to strengthen these vital connections.

Me ke aloha pumehana,

Prajna, Olivia, Greg, Jared & Kaiāulu’s Council

P.S. - New to our ceremonies? We welcome you to join Sunday's gathering. Zoom details below.
